I SHIFT
  • On 6 Feb, Inter-House Prerak Katha Competition(Motivational Story Telling Competition) was conducted for  the classes VI-VIII and Inter-House Flower Arrangement Competition was held for  the classes IX-XI .

 

  • Students of class VI, VII, VIII went on an excursion to QutbMinar, National Museum of Science & National Museum of History. School provided sandwich, frooti and biscuits for refreshment

 

  • On 12 Feb, Basant Panchmi celebration was organized with floral tribute to the portrait of Goddess Saraswati. It was followed by Sanskrit Shlok recitation and talk by students of class VIII explaining  importance of colours as well as celebration of Basant Panchmi in our life. A skit was also presented for highlighting importance of the season.

 

 

  • On 20 Feb, Class XI bid farewell to the outgoing class XII students. A short and sweet cultural program was organized in honour of class XII. It ended with the blessings by the Principal.

 

  • On 23 Feb, Matra Bhasha Diwas was celebrated enthusiastically wherein a group song in regional language was presented. A student spoke on the importance of her regional Language ‘Kannad’. It was followed by a teacher talk explaining wide range of our Mother Tongue as well as the ways to preserve and protect our language. Also, to mark the occasion, Poster and Slogan Writing Competition was held for classes VI-X.

 

  • Thinking Day celebrations were organized on 24/2/2016 and a group of 140 Cubs & Bulbuls and Scout & Guides participated in the event. The programme was based on the theme ‘Connect’. The life and working of Lord Baden Powell, founder of Scout n Guide. Group Song, dance and skit based on conservation of Natural Resources, environment were presented by the Scout & Guides and Cub & Bulbuls.

Nodal Teacher Training on Adolescence Education Programme (AEP) from 24.11.2015 to 29.11.2015.

Vidyalaya organized Nodal Teacher’s Training workshop on Adolescence Education Programme from 24 Nov-29 Nov 2015 for Chandigarh Region, Gurgaon Region, Jammu Region and Delhi Region. 47 participants of different Kendriya Vidyalaya attended the programme. The workshop focused on issues like process of growing up, understanding adolescence, positive and responsible relationship, issues related to gender and discrimination, HIV and AIDS, substance and drug abuse and integration of AE content in various subjects as per it’s appropriateness. It also provided opportunities to acquire needed skills for organizing experiential learning activities in school, monitoring & evaluation, better & effective implementation of the AEP. The discussion during the workshop was also devoted to discuss the AE programme, its conceptual framework and Life Skills Development Framework.  The session on Content Analysis of textbooks was also organized. The following resource persons facilitated the sessions during the workshop:

Under Swachch Bharat Abhiyan::

 

  • On 4th Nov, 2015, talk was given on importance of cleanliness, highlighting “clean self-clean environment”.
  • On 6th Nov. 2015, talks were given by two students of class XI, Miss Alisha & Miss Divya Prasad on ‘Solid Waste Management’, ‘Paper recycling’ followed by open quiz competition for all students.
  • On 7th Nov. 2015, in commemoration of 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, a Youth ParliamentDebate was conducted to let the students learn his vision, in shaping our democracy.

  • On 8th Nov. 2015, Poster making and Slogan competition on cleanliness was held for classes VI-X.
  • On 9th Nov, 2015, “Education Day” was observed. Miss Harshita Dubey (X-C), Gauri( IX-B) presented their views on the topic The role of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in the making of modern India”.
  • Vidyalaya organized Regional Social Science Exhibition on 21st Nov 2015. Hon’ble Deputy Commissioner, Smt. Santosh Mridha was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Assistant Commissioner, Smt. Indu Kaushik was also present on the occasion.

  • Vidyalaya got 1st Position in Group Song and Group Dance in Regional Level Social Science Exhibition-2015 .01 set of 10 Maps of West Bengal and 02 maps of United Kingdom, 05 Albums, 04 Survey Projects and 02 chats also selected for National Level Exhibition to be held in KV Ambala in December.

 

  • On 26th Nov. 2015, ‘Constitution Day’ was observed.  Mr. Deepak Kumar PGT (Political Science) spoke on important features of our constitution followed by oath to keep our constitution intact by respecting it in true spirit. Then a quiz based on the subject was also organized.
  • 32 students and two escorts visited National Science Center on 23.11.2015.
  • Vidyalaya was registered online for Green school Programme Audit on 29.10.15 and Audit done on 20.11.2015
  • Students of Archery played for National in KV Jabalpur. Students of Boxing and Kho-Kho also played for National event organized in different KV’s

  • Digital India Week Programme commenced on 1st July 2015with DIGI Pledge followed by DIGI Anthem tagged with conveyed message. Speech was conducted by Ruchi Pareek of class XI  about the launch and mission of Digital India Programme during morning assembly. The schedule of activities :

    • On. 7th July 2015, a talk was conducted on “Digital Do’s and Dont’s suggesting the ways to use internet mobile and social networking sites safely.

 

  • Thus the whole week programme enhanced the knowledge of Vidyalaya , specifically about the digital wellness and Digital Security.

 

  • On 9th & 10th July, nominee’s boys/girls for Head boy/girl, Vice head boy/girl convassed for their candidature.

 

  • On 9th July, the students of class XI-B got the opportunity to visit Talktora Stadium, to attend

the launching ceremony of the Rastriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA). Late Dr.APJ Abdul

Kalam, former President of India launched the Rastriya Avishkar Abhiyan in New Delhi. While

launching the Abhiyan Dr. Abdul Kalam focused on developing the spirit of Innovation and

Experimentation among students. He concluded his speech by stressing upon attaching highest

value to science.

Smt. Smriti Irani, Hon’ble Union Minister for HRD addressed the gathering through video

conferencing and highlighted the fact that RAA is an initiative by Ministry of HRD to encourage

students to learn science beyond the classroom. It is an effort to take forward the Prime

Minister’s vision of Digital India. ‘Make in India’ and ‘Teach in India’. She talked of effort

made by Intel and Google for students.

The launch event also saw some exhilarating moments with a laser show on science and Maths

which enthralled the audience.

Two students Ms Jaya and Master. Arsh winners of Initiative for Research and Innovation

(IRIs) award, 2014 & 15 shared their innovative projects and their journey through the wondrous

world of science.

A play presented by students of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow spread the

message of how science is woven in every aspect of life and is not limited to classrooms.

The audience also got to hear and interact with scientist like Dr. Tessy Thomas project Director

AGNI IV and Smt. Nandani Harinath deputy Operations Director, Mars Orbiter Mission.

 

  • On 29th June to 10th July, Scholastic Book Fair was arranged to instill a feel in students (for

specially 6-8 classes) with a motto ‘Read Every Day, Lead a better life’ side by side Vidya

Book collection also displayed a variety of books for VI-XII classes to help the students to gain

knowledge and be exposed to an eye popping & innovative new ways to learn & relish books.

 

 

  • On 14th July, Ms Leena ,a representative from Times of India talked to the students highlighting

benefits of newspaper reading.

 

  • On 16th July, Ms Anamika , a representative from Hindustan Times talked to the students &

emphasized on inculcating reading habits & further added that it is not only the base of batter

communication skills but also very helpful in career designing.

 

  • On 20th July, Poster Competition was held for class VI to VIII on the topic “ The harmful

effects of tobacco”.

 

  • On 23rd July, School celebrated Investiture Ceremony enthusiastically. All the four houses

marched ahead to greet the student council. It was followed by honour of the student’s leaders

with sashes & badges by the Principal, Vice Principal then they took oath to stay honest, faithful

towards their duties. This was further followed by short speech by the Head boy and Head girl.

Thus it ended with blessings by the Vice principal & Principal of the school.

 

  • Two students Kirti Pant(XI) and Sakshi Kumari (IX A) were selected to prepare project for INSPIRE Award Scheme. They participated in KVS Regiona Level Exhibhition in KV INA, New Delhi

 

  • On 3rd July 2015, a workshop was arranged for the students of Class –VII under adolescence program. They attended lectures on “सदभावना के साथ रहना” ie “Live in Harmony” given by concerned subject teachers under awakened citizen program.

 

  • On 4th July 2015, a workshop was arranged for the students of Class–VIII under adolescence program. They attended lectures on साहसी होना” ie “Be Heroic” given by concerned subject teachers under awakened citizen program ”Universal Possibilities”.

 

  • On 29th July, Navneet Drawing Competition was held for class VI to X .
  • Under Eco-Club, efforts were made to establiah a Medicinal Garden in the school Campus.
  • Under Scout and Guide, 8 scouts and 8 Guides are attending Tritya Sopan Testing Camp at KV RK Puram Sec 2 from 30.7.15 to 1.8.15.
  • On 11th April 2015 , English Calligraphy Competition was held for classes VI to X and XII.

 

  • One day workshop on Physical & Health Education was held in the Vidyalaya on 16 April 2015 at Regional Level. On the occasion Smt. Santosh Mridha(Deputy Commissioner), Smt Indu Kaushik(Assistant Commissioner),Smt Aha Aggarwal( Deputy Director of Physical Education) and Shri A.K. Srivastava (Director of Physical Education) were the special Guests. The objective of the workshop was to encourage the spirit for Games & Sports in daily life of the pupils.

 

  • On 18th April 2015, a house meeting was held for classes IX to X and XII to select captains in various disciplines and for Class VI to VIII हिन्दी सुलेख प्रतियोगता was held.

 

  • On 22nd April 2015, Earth day was celebrated in the wake of sensitization of the students towards conservation of environment, Speech by two students was delivered & posters were displayed highlighting the ways to save earth & its resources.

 

  • On 25th April 2015, a workshop was arranged for the students of Class IX to XII under adolescence program. Class VIII students attended lectures given by concerned subject teachers under awakened citizen program.

 

  • Spell-Bee competition was organized for classes VI to VII, on 25th April 2015.

 

  • On 18th April 2015, a workshop on Universal Possibilities was organized by school teachers under Ramakrishna Mission for all sections of class VIII.

 

  • On 24th April 2015, a workshop on motivation and enhancing self-confidence was organized  under Ramakrishna Mission for all sections of class VII.

 

  • Road Safety Week observed from 14.1.2015-24.1.15
    • On 14th Jan 2015 talk on Road Safety was given by school teachers
    • On 16th Jan 2015 talk on Road Safety by M.L. Singh Head Constable Delhi Police.

  • Pratham Sopan Testing camp was organized at School Level for class VI to VII from

15 Jan’15 to 17th Jan 2015.

 

  • PSA was conducted for classes VI-VIII on 28.1.15.

 

  • 15 students of the school visited Ramakrishna Ashram , Paharganj on 29th January’15 for Prize Distribution ceremony for Annual Swami Vivekanada Competition . The day was also celebrated as National Youth Day. The chief Guest of the day was Col. Rajya Vardhan Singh Rathore. The students were enriched with his views. Mr. Akhil Kumar, Gold Medalist in Common Wealth Games, Boxing was also present there.
  • 6 Teams of the Vidyalaya Participated in Regional Level Science Exhibition held at KV Tagore Gardenon 10-12-2014 & 11-12-2014.
  • On 15 December’14, KVS Foundation Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Duet was presented by students of class XII, oath was taken by all teachers and students of the Vidyalaya. Various other activities were organized on the occasion.
    • Students of XI, XII along with 5 escorts visited National Museum on 19-12-2014.
  • On 20 December 2014,
    • Greeting Card Making Competition was held for classes VI-VIII on the topic “New Year.”
    • Inter-House Flower Decoration Competition was held to mark the beginning of 2015.

 

  • 2 scouts Master Jatin, XI-C and Priyam, XI-B of the Vidyalaya received Rajya Puraskar on 20.12.2014
  • A scholarship test was conducted on 20-12-2014 for classes IX & X by Amity University in Vidyalaya premises.
    • Poster Competition was held for class VIII & IX on the topic “School of My dream”.
    • Poster Competition was held on the topic “Corruption” for class X.
    • Under the Pilot Programme on value Education
      • Personnel from Rama Krishan Mission Society visited the Vidyalaya on 08-12-2014.
      • Awakening citizen programme was conducted on 20-12-2014 for class VII on the topic “Universal Possibilities”.
      • Master Soham qualified II round Annual Vivekananda Competition and also attended the Competition of final round conducted by Rama Kishan Mision on 10th Dec 2014.

 

  • Maths week was organized in KV Masjid Moth from 16-12-2014 to 22-12-14 to celebrate the birth anniversary of S. Ramanujan. Different activities were organized to celebrate the occasion.
    • On 16-12-14, two students Himanshu & Pritika of Class XI B presented their views on eminent mathematician in the morning assembly. Himanshu expressed his views on S. Ramanujan and Preetika shared her views on Bhaskaracharya II.
    • On 17.12.14, Poster making competition was organized in which students of Classes VI to XI made posters on the topic “Maths in daily life”.
    • Essay writing competition was organized on 18.12.2014. Students of Classes VI to XII participated in the competition. The topics were
      • VI – VIII Use of Numbers in daily life.
      • IX – X     Math Phobia– Causes & Remedies
      • XI-XII     Career opportunities in Mathematics

  • On 19.12.14, Head of Maths Dept., Mr. R.K. Sharma shared his views on “Role of Maths to the mankind.” It was an enlightening talk wherein he connected mathematics to daily life.
  • Maths quiz was organized on 20.12.14. 18 students from Classes VI to XI participated in the quiz. These students were divided into 3 groups namely Ramanujan, Bhaskaracharya and Aryabhatta group.
  • Birth Anniversary of S. Ramanujan was celebrated on 22.12.14. Prize Distribution for the winners of various activities was organized.
  • A girls Self Defence Workshop was organized for 5 days from 29 Oct-3 Nov’14 by Delhi Police official, Mr.Vikas Jhanjot along with Ms Shweta from Delhi State Taekwondo Association.
  • Speech Competition was held on 1st Nov. 2014 for Senior Group(IX-XII)  on the topic “Corruption –Technology as an enables” and  for Junior Group(VI-VIII)  on the topic “Corruption”.
    • During the Bal Swachchta Abhiyan from 14th Nov. 2014 till 19th. Many activities were organized on different themes::
      • On 14th Nov’14, cleanliness drive by children initiated. Children along with the teachers started cleaning of the classroom cupboards, laboratories etc.
      • On 15th Nov 2014, Ms. Vandana Dixit PGT (Chemistry) addressed morning assembly on ‘Clean Food’.
      • Talk on 17th Nov 2014 by Ms. Komal (Nurse) on personal hygiene followed by trimming of nails & polishing shoes.
      • Talk on 18th Nov 2014 by Ms. Anita Jain PGT (Bio) on “Water Contamination & the Common means of purifying water”.
      • Talk on 19th Nov 2014 by Ms. Maneesha PGT (English) on “How to maintain clean toilets” followed by a skit on “Clean toilets”.
    • On 22nd Nov 2014, 60 students participated in Investiture ceremony organized for Scouts and Guides
    • On 16th Nov. nearly 70 students of class IX visited Sri Fort Stadium on the occasion of “Children’s Film Festival” for watching movie “Hawa Hawai”.
    • Sonam Gangopadhaya , a student of class XII-C ,qualified the 2nd round of Annual Swami Vivekananda Competition-2014 and hence selected for the 3rd and final round.
    • Workshops on Personality Development were conducted by Mrs. Vijaya Kumari and Mrs. Shobhana Rajput on different themes for class VII:
      • On 3-11-2014, the main objective of the workshop was of a quick introduction and class explorations on universal possibilities as well as on unique possibilities.
      • On 10-11-2014, the main objective of the workshop was about the importance of being heroic as well as how we can develop heroic sprits in ourselves.
      • On 17-11-2014, it was on ‘expanding myself’ a personality development class, about how people expand themselves and why it is important for an individual.
      • On 24-11-2014 , it was on ‘Living in harmony’-a personality development class, about importance of living in harmony and how to live in such an environment.
      • All the Students took pledge on 29th Nov by Integrity Club.
      • On 29-11-2014, the students of class X  presented an awareness programme on ‘corruption by expressing slogans as well as a speech on corruption full India’.
  • During the Swachh Bharat Campaign a pledge was taken on 9.10.14 by the students along with teachers to keep cleanliness around the surroundings.
  • On 18 Oct’14 skit was presented by the students on the theme ‘Swachh Bharat Campaign” creating awareness among the students towards clean environment.
  • Anti- Cracker Rally was organized by Primary School students and the students went around the nearby locality to sensitize the people of
    • Vigilance Awareness Week was observed from 28 Oct’14  to 31 Oct’14  and following activities were organized:
    • Talk was presented by a student on “Combating Corruption technology as an enabler
    • Slogan presentation was held on Corruption on 29 Oct 2014.
    • Talks were presented by teachers and a student on “Corruption” on 30 Oct’14.

To mark the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel following activities were organized on 31 Oct’14:

  • Pledge was taken by teachers and students
  • Talks were presented by students to convey the message of importance of Unity.
  • Relay Race was organized for senior students to promote the feeling of oneness.
  • 08 Scout and 08 Guide participated in Dwitiya Sopan Testing Camp held at KV Pushp Vihar from  27.10.14  to 28.10.14.
    • Counselling Sessions were organized on Adolescence for classes IX-XII during the month.
    • Mock Exam for PSA was organized for class IX, X and XI on 21.10.14 to give practice to students.
    • Painting Competition was organized for classes VI –X in Vidyalaya Campus by Bureau of Enegy Efficiency
    • Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition was held for class VI –X on “Health and Cleanliness”
  • 40 students of Class XI and XII (Science) attended the Exhibition on AIIMS Foundation Day on 25 October.
  • II Unit Test for class XI conducted from 13.10-14- 17.10.14.
  • Parent’s Teachers Meeting was held for all classes on 31.10.14
  • Vidyalaya students participated in National Sports Meet in various sports events and bagged
    • 01 students has won Silver in Boxing National Sports Meet.
      • Cricket Team has bagged I position in National Sports Meet. 02 students of our school were in the Cricket Team.
  • Visit of German Delegates on 8.9.14 to promote the German Language in Kendriya Vidyalayas.

  • 52 students of class VII to X participated in Green Olympiad conducted by TERI on 3.9.14
    • Hindi Pakhwada was observed in the Vidyalaya from 1.9.14 to 15.9.14. Various Activities were organized:
      • ‘हमारे स्तंत्रता सेनानी’  के विषय पर  हिंदी निबंध प्रतियोगता का आयोजन कक्षा  VI-VIII  तक हुआ
      • ‘हिंदी भाषा का महत्व ‘ के विषय पर  हिंदी निबंध प्रतियोगता का आयोजन कक्षा  IX-XII तक हुआ
      • कविता पाठ का आयोजन कक्षा  VI-VIII  तक हुआ
  • A cleanliness Drive named “ स्वच्छ विद्यालय अभियान “ was started on 25.9.14.  Mr. N.K. Nayyar, Deputy Secretary, MHRD  and  B.K. Singh Assistant Commissioner of KVS(HQ) visited the vidyalaya  on 25.9.14 on the occasion of cleanliness drive. Every corner of the Vidyalaya was cleaned by the joint effort of the Principal, Vice Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff and students of the Vidyalaya.

 

  • A workshop on “Team Work” was also conducted for Class XI .

 

  • Painting/ Poster Competition under  National Campaign on Energy Conservation for the students of Class IV –IX was held on 25.9.14.

 

  • A short programme in morning assembly to generate awareness among students about cancer and hepatitis was organized on 27.9.14. Dr. Krishna Kumar Tiwari addressed the students in the assembly.
  • Sanskrit week is being observed from 26.7.14 and various have been organized::

  • Annual Swami Vivekanand Quiz Competition was held on 26.7.14 and 300 students from VI-XII participated in it.
  • Workshop on Underprivileged children and Women Empowerment for girls of classes IX-XII was held on 26.7.14
  • A workshop was organized in collaboration with SMILE Foundation on “Martial Art”/ Self Defence for girls of class X and XI on 26.7.14
  • Eco Club Members established a Medicinal Garden in secondary wing of the school.
  • 32 students of the school participated in Cluster Level Social Science Competition cum National Integration Camp held at KV Gole Market on 30.7.14.
  • 304 students from classes VI-XII participated in Annual Vivekananda Competiton held on 26.7.14
  • Career Guidance and Counselling was organized on 31.7.14 for class XI in collaboration with AKASH Institute.
  • 8 students of Class XI availed the opportunity to attend a half day workshop on 25 July 2014 in Nehru Planetarium, Nehru Memorial museum and Library in collaboration with space in New Delhi in a series titiled "Aperture!Aperture!". The students were benefited with the talk of Dr. Ratnashree, Director Nehru Planetarium about the journey from Galileo to the  Thirty Meter Telescope followed by discussions related to revolutions in astronomical observations which have taken place from Galileo to Contemporary times, with each substantive increase of aperture in the objectives of historical/ contemporary telescopes.

    • Open quiz on information related to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Kendriya Vidyalaya was conducted for the classes VI and VII, in which all the children participated. A speech was delivered high lighting mission, achievements and expectations of KVS & KVs.
    • Craft workshop was organized in Primary section on 03.12.13.  Mr. Manohar Rana showed his skill of Art & Craft to the children . Students were very excited and learned a lot about paper cutting .
    • Grandparents Day was celebrated in Vidyalaya premises on 21.12.2013
    • Sports Day was celebrated on 21.12.13. Various activities were organized in the event. Students actively participated in it.

    • 21st NATIONAL CHILDREN SCIENCE CONGRESS (NCSC):: Four groups of seniors and three groups of junior participated in in the 21st NCSC programme on 8th Oct. 2013 held at KV,JNU, New Delhi. Theme for this year was Energy: Explore, Harness and Conserve. The judges were professor of IIT and JNU.
    • One Group (group leader- Shruti Tevatia of XI-C) is selected for  KVS National Level NCSC 2013 to be held at Bhopal from 29/11/13 to 1/12/2013
    • On 12th of Nov. 2013 a programme ‘Bookaroo in the city’ was organized for Class VII. The speaker Taneja is a fantasy story teller of Kurseong published by Hachette India. The speaker narrated a story about Kartik and asked the students to help Kartik solve the mystery behind the ghostly thief who haunts the tea estate in Kurseong. All the students took part in the programme enthusiastically.
    • An excursion to the National Science Center was organized for the students of 10th and 11th.Dr. Naveen Kumar, prof. DTU was the chief guest . He focussed on Renewal energy alternative for India particularly on the advent of biodiesel it’s manufacturing, storing and uses.
    • An excursion to the Rajghat, Gandhi Darshan, National Museum of Science & History, India Gate, Samadhi Sthal was organized for the students of class VI and VII on 29 Nov 2013.
    • 2 students from XII-B participated in SAARC Quiz competition conducted by CSIR ,  at Satsang Vihar on 28th Nov’13.
    • 8 Students comprising of our team from class VIII and IX participated in ‘Young World Quiz” conducted by “The Hindu “on 29th Nov’2013 at FICCI Auditorium, Tansen Marg and fetched special prizes.

     

    • School is Venue for Shooting Girls( 29.8.13) and Shooting Boys(2.9.13) during Regional Sports Meet 2013. 05 girls from 3 schools participated in Shooting Girls.
    • Inter-House Competitions- Creative Writing, Group Song, Rakhi Making to mark the importance of Independence Day and  RakshaBandhan.

     

    • Independence Day was celebrated in the Vidyalaya. Deputy Commissioner , Shri S. K. Verma was the Chief Guest and hoisted the flag. He honoured CBSE Toppers in Science, Commerce, Humanities and 10 CGPA holders of Class X with Rs 5000/- each. The Cash award was received from KVS(HQ)  for Meritorious Performance in CBSE.

    KV Masjid Moth, a premier co-educational institute was established in 1981 with 375 students on roll ,14 sections form Class I to VIII and 28 staff members. The school was run in tents. The school is affiliated to CBSE Board and the medium of instruction for Science & Math is English and Social Sciences is Hindi/English.

    From a humble beginning in tents, to the present impressive and well-maintained building, set in a lush green environment with abundant playing fields. At present, it has strength of 1958 students.

    Since 1981, the school has been fortunate to have had strong and committed Principals, who have helped KVMM to achieve its present prime position unlike other KVs. It is a double shift school. In I Shift, classes I to VI have 3 sections each and Classes VII to X have 4 sections each and Classes XI, XII have 5 sections each. II Shift has 3 sections each for classes I-IX . The Kendriya Vidyalaya is located in Civil Sector, South Delhi District.

    • On 6 Feb, Inter-House Prerak Katha Competition(Motivational Story Telling Competition) was conducted for  the classes VI-VIII and Inter-House Flower Arrangement Competition was held for  the classes IX-XI .

     

    • Students of class VI, VII, VIII went on an excursion to QutbMinar, National Museum of Science & National Museum of History. School provided sandwich, frooti and biscuits for refreshment

     

    • On 12 Feb, Basant Panchmi celebration was organized with floral tribute to the portrait of Goddess Saraswati. It was followed by Sanskrit Shlok recitation and talk by students of class VIII explaining  importance of colours as well as celebration of Basant Panchmi in our life. A skit was also presented for highlighting importance of the season.

     

     

    • On 20 Feb, Class XI bid farewell to the outgoing class XII students. A short and sweet cultural program was organized in honour of class XII. It ended with the blessings by the Principal.

     

    • On 23 Feb, Matra Bhasha Diwas was celebrated enthusiastically wherein a group song in regional language was presented. A student spoke on the importance of her regional Language ‘Kannad’. It was followed by a teacher talk explaining wide range of our Mother Tongue as well as the ways to preserve and protect our language. Also, to mark the occasion, Poster and Slogan Writing Competition was held for classes VI-X.

     

    • Thinking Day celebrations were organized on 24/2/2016 and a group of 140 Cubs & Bulbuls and Scout & Guides participated in the event. The programme was based on the theme ‘Connect’. The life and working of Lord Baden Powell, founder of Scout n Guide. Group Song, dance and skit based on conservation of Natural Resources, environment were presented by the Scout & Guides and Cub & Bulbuls.

    Nodal Teacher Training on Adolescence Education Programme (AEP) from 24.11.2015 to 29.11.2015.

    Vidyalaya organized Nodal Teacher’s Training workshop on Adolescence Education Programme from 24 Nov-29 Nov 2015 for Chandigarh Region, Gurgaon Region, Jammu Region and Delhi Region. 47 participants of different Kendriya Vidyalaya attended the programme. The workshop focused on issues like process of growing up, understanding adolescence, positive and responsible relationship, issues related to gender and discrimination, HIV and AIDS, substance and drug abuse and integration of AE content in various subjects as per it’s appropriateness. It also provided opportunities to acquire needed skills for organizing experiential learning activities in school, monitoring & evaluation, better & effective implementation of the AEP. The discussion during the workshop was also devoted to discuss the AE programme, its conceptual framework and Life Skills Development Framework.  The session on Content Analysis of textbooks was also organized. The following resource persons facilitated the sessions during the workshop:

    • On 6th Nov. 2015, talks were given by two students of class XI, Miss Alisha & Miss Divya Prasad on ‘Solid Waste Management’, ‘Paper recycling’ followed by open quiz competition for all students.
    • On 7th Nov. 2015, in commemoration of 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, a Youth ParliamentDebate was conducted to let the students learn his vision, in shaping our democracy.

      • On. 7th July 2015, a talk was conducted on “Digital Do’s and Dont’s suggesting the ways to use internet mobile and social networking sites safely.

    • On 9th & 10th July, nominee’s boys/girls for Head boy/girl, Vice head boy/girl convassed for their candidature.

     

    • On 9th July, the students of class XI-B got the opportunity to visit Talktora Stadium, to attend

    the launching ceremony of the Rastriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA). Late Dr.APJ Abdul

    Kalam, former President of India launched the Rastriya Avishkar Abhiyan in New Delhi. While

    launching the Abhiyan Dr. Abdul Kalam focused on developing the spirit of Innovation and

    Experimentation among students. He concluded his speech by stressing upon attaching highest

    value to science.

    Smt. Smriti Irani, Hon’ble Union Minister for HRD addressed the gathering through video

    conferencing and highlighted the fact that RAA is an initiative by Ministry of HRD to encourage

    students to learn science beyond the classroom. It is an effort to take forward the Prime

    Minister’s vision of Digital India. ‘Make in India’ and ‘Teach in India’. She talked of effort

    made by Intel and Google for students.

    The launch event also saw some exhilarating moments with a laser show on science and Maths

    which enthralled the audience.

    Two students Ms Jaya and Master. Arsh winners of Initiative for Research and Innovation

    (IRIs) award, 2014 & 15 shared their innovative projects and their journey through the wondrous

    world of science.

    A play presented by students of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow spread the

    message of how science is woven in every aspect of life and is not limited to classrooms.

    The audience also got to hear and interact with scientist like Dr. Tessy Thomas project Director

    AGNI IV and Smt. Nandani Harinath deputy Operations Director, Mars Orbiter Mission.

     

    • On 29th June to 10th July, Scholastic Book Fair was arranged to instill a feel in students (for

    specially 6-8 classes) with a motto ‘Read Every Day, Lead a better life’ side by side Vidya

    Book collection also displayed a variety of books for VI-XII classes to help the students to gain

    knowledge and be exposed to an eye popping & innovative new ways to learn & relish books.

     

     

    • On 14th July, Ms Leena ,a representative from Times of India talked to the students highlighting

    benefits of newspaper reading.

     

    • On 16th July, Ms Anamika , a representative from Hindustan Times talked to the students &

    emphasized on inculcating reading habits & further added that it is not only the base of batter

    communication skills but also very helpful in career designing.

     

    • On 20th July, Poster Competition was held for class VI to VIII on the topic “ The harmful

    effects of tobacco”.

     

    • On 23rd July, School celebrated Investiture Ceremony enthusiastically. All the four houses

    marched ahead to greet the student council. It was followed by honour of the student’s leaders

    with sashes & badges by the Principal, Vice Principal then they took oath to stay honest, faithful

    towards their duties. This was further followed by short speech by the Head boy and Head girl.

    Thus it ended with blessings by the Vice principal & Principal of the school.

     

    • Two students Kirti Pant(XI) and Sakshi Kumari (IX A) were selected to prepare project for INSPIRE Award Scheme. They participated in KVS Regiona Level Exhibhition in KV INA, New Delhi

     

    • On 3rd July 2015, a workshop was arranged for the students of Class –VII under adolescence program. They attended lectures on “सदभावना के साथ रहना” ie “Live in Harmony” given by concerned subject teachers under awakened citizen program.

     

    • On 4th July 2015, a workshop was arranged for the students of Class–VIII under adolescence program. They attended lectures on साहसी होना” ie “Be Heroic” given by concerned subject teachers under awakened citizen program ”Universal Possibilities”.

     

    • On 29th July, Navneet Drawing Competition was held for class VI to X .
    • Under Eco-Club, efforts were made to establiah a Medicinal Garden in the school Campus.
    • Under Scout and Guide, 8 scouts and 8 Guides are attending Tritya Sopan Testing Camp at KV RK Puram Sec 2 from 30.7.15 to 1.8.15.

    • One day workshop on Physical & Health Education was held in the Vidyalaya on 16 April 2015 at Regional Level. On the occasion Smt. Santosh Mridha(Deputy Commissioner), Smt Indu Kaushik(Assistant Commissioner),Smt Aha Aggarwal( Deputy Director of Physical Education) and Shri A.K. Srivastava (Director of Physical Education) were the special Guests. The objective of the workshop was to encourage the spirit for Games & Sports in daily life of the pupils.

     

    • On 18th April 2015, a house meeting was held for classes IX to X and XII to select captains in various disciplines and for Class VI to VIII हिन्दी सुलेख प्रतियोगता was held.

    • Maths quiz was organized on 20.12.14. 18 students from Classes VI to XI participated in the quiz. These students were divided into 3 groups namely Ramanujan, Bhaskaracharya and Aryabhatta group.
    • Birth Anniversary of S. Ramanujan was celebrated on 22.12.14. Prize Distribution for the winners of various activities was organized.
    • A girls Self Defence Workshop was organized for 5 days from 29 Oct-3 Nov’14 by Delhi Police official, Mr.Vikas Jhanjot along with Ms Shweta from Delhi State Taekwondo Association.
    • Speech Competition was held on 1st Nov. 2014 for Senior Group(IX-XII)  on the topic “Corruption –Technology as an enables” and  for Junior Group(VI-VIII)  on the topic “Corruption”.
      • During the Bal Swachchta Abhiyan from 14th Nov. 2014 till 19th. Many activities were organized on different themes::
        • On 14th Nov’14, cleanliness drive by children initiated. Children along with the teachers started cleaning of the classroom cupboards, laboratories etc.
        • On 15th Nov 2014, Ms. Vandana Dixit PGT (Chemistry) addressed morning assembly on ‘Clean Food’.
        • Talk on 17th Nov 2014 by Ms. Komal (Nurse) on personal hygiene followed by trimming of nails & polishing shoes.

    • One Group (group leader- Shruti Tevatia of XI-C) is selected for  KVS National Level NCSC 2013 to be held at Bhopal from 29/11/13 to 1/12/2013
    • On 12th of Nov. 2013 a programme ‘Bookaroo in the city’ was organized for Class VII. The speaker Taneja is a fantasy story teller of Kurseong published by Hachette India. The speaker narrated a story about Kartik and asked the students to help Kartik solve the mystery behind the ghostly thief who haunts the tea estate in Kurseong. All the students took part in the programme enthusiastically.
    • An excursion to the National Science Center was organized for the students of 10th and 11th.Dr. Naveen Kumar, prof. DTU was the chief guest . He focussed on Renewal energy alternative for India particularly on the advent of biodiesel it’s manufacturing, storing and uses.
    • An excursion to the Rajghat, Gandhi Darshan, National Museum of Science & History, India Gate, Samadhi Sthal was organized for the students of class VI and VII on 29 Nov 2013.
    • 2 students from XII-B participated in SAARC Quiz competition conducted by CSIR ,  at Satsang Vihar on 28th Nov’13.
